How we work
Charanpreet started Prestige in 2019 after fifteen years of pulling reefer between Toronto and Texas, then another five turning wrenches in a Mack shop in Mississauga. He kept watching the same thing happen to the guys he ran with: pay $80K for a truck off a flashy lot, find out three months in the in-frame is sliding, owe more than the unit's worth. The financing pressure, the lot pressure, the "this one's perfect for you" pressure — none of it was set up to land an owner-operator on a truck that'd actually pay its own loan.
So he built Prestige the opposite way. We don't buy trucks to fill a sales floor — because we don't have one. We work briefs. You tell us the body, the run, the budget; we hunt auctions, fleet defleets, and trade-in chains across the U.S. and Canada until we find the right unit. Then we drive it back to Vaughan, run it through our pre-delivery inspection, and call you. Most briefs land a match in nine days. Some take a month. Either way, you see candidates with the warts on the table — not a polished listing.
What you get from us that you don't get from the auction down the road: a real DOT-grade inspection before the truck's yours, financing relationships built over a decade with brokers who know commercial paper, a 30-day fit guarantee (drive it for work, not the showroom — if it doesn't hold up, we make it right), and Charanpreet's cell number after the keys change hands.
